School Projects

Here are some of the projects I did while attending Ball State University

Radio Telescopes

Brave Robot Event Booklet

For this assignment, I was tasked with creating a unique event to raise awareness for Brave Robot, a brand known for its innovative, animal-free dairy ice cream. I saw this as an opportunity to engage consumers in a fun and interactive way by designing an event where attendees could sample different Brave Robot flavors and participate in a competition to create the next exciting flavor. The event aimed to highlight the brand’s mission, sustainability efforts, and unique science behind its dairy-free ice cream, making it an informative and engaging experience.

In addition to planning the event and outlining its key details, I designed a comprehensive event booklet that not only explained the competition structure but also educated attendees on what makes Brave Robot special. The booklet emphasized the brand’s use of precision fermentation to create dairy without cows, as well as its commitment to sustainability and reducing environmental impact.

To further promote the event, I also designed a brochure and a visually engaging poster/flyer, ensuring that the branding remained consistent across all materials. These promotional pieces were crafted to capture attention, communicate key details effectively, and align with Brave Robot’s modern, forward-thinking identity.

Personal Brand Project:
The Dream Projection Agency

For this assignment, we were tasked with developing our own company and creating a comprehensive design style guidebook that would define its visual identity. I chose to establish an advertising agency centered around the concept of bringing clients’ dreams to life and translating their vision into compelling branding and marketing. The goal was to craft a cohesive and impactful brand identity that reflects creativity, innovation, and the power of storytelling through design.

The process began with extensive logo exploration, where I sketched multiple concepts before narrowing them down to a refined set of 10 potential logos. From there, I selected the strongest three variations, experimenting with subtle refinements to typography, color, and composition. After finalizing the primary logo, I developed a complete style guide, detailing the brand’s color palette, typography choices, and design principles to ensure consistency across all applications.

To bring the brand to life, we were tasked with creating sample prototype touchpoints, such as business cards, social media assets, and promotional materials, demonstrating how the brand identity would function in real-world scenarios.

Folgers Logo Rebrand

For this project, we were challenged to select a commodity brand and develop a modernized rebrand that better reflects its identity and product. I chose Folgers, a well-known coffee company, with the goal of refining its logo and overall visual presentation. One of the key reasons I selected Folgers was its existing red-dominated color scheme, which, while iconic, did not strongly convey the essence of coffee.

I began the process with extensive logo sketching, exploring various design directions before narrowing down to 10 refined concepts. After careful consideration, I selected the strongest final design and refined it further, experimenting with color variations, typography, and composition to create a fresh yet recognizable identity.

The final rebrand enhances Folgers’ connection to coffee culture, reinforcing warmth, richness, and the sensory experience of a great cup of coffee.

Movie Poster Redesign - Troy

For this assignment, we were tasked with designing a movie poster for a film of our choice, but in a design style that wouldn’t typically be associated with it. I selected the historical epic Troy and chose to reinterpret it through the lens of deconstructivism, a style known for its fragmented, abstract, and unconventional approach to composition.

To capture the essence of the film without relying on traditional imagery, I incorporated symbolic elements such as the Trojan horse and an arrow, using abstract forms and dynamic composition to create a sense of mystery and intrigue.

The goal was to evoke curiosity while maintaining a minimalist, thought-provoking aesthetic that encourages viewers to interpret the visuals rather than presenting the story outright.

This project challenged me to think beyond conventional movie poster design and explore how form, symbolism, and abstraction can communicate a narrative in unexpected ways.
